Any audio that has voices that are difficult to understand (i.e. poor recording, soft voices, etc.)
   
Time stamps inserted (every minute of audio).
   
Light to moderate accents.
   
Any audio with medical, dental, or veterinary technical terminology.
   
Verbatim: All ums, ahs, stutters, transcribed.
 
Type 3 Audio Transcription Rates:
 
Any audio with 4 or more speakers.
   
Presentations dealing with highly scientific medical or technical terminology, or very thick accents.
   
Panel discussions, focus groups, conference calls, seminars with multiple participants.

Your transcript is completed as quickly as
possible within the parameters above.

Please note that I round up to the nearest full minute of audio. If your file is 22:32, you would be billed for 23 minutes of audio. A majority of customers prefer not to have ums, ahs, uhs, and stutters transcribed but if you want verbatim recording please see my Type 2 pricing.

Why charge per minute?
Charging a flat transcription rate for each recorded minute of audio keeps me honest and prevents you from getting ripped off by page counts, work hours, etc. My rates are published on my site so there are no billing surprises.

How accurate am I?
My transcription rates are based on the actual length of recorded audio and not billable hours so I take all the time needed for accuracy. I guarantee 98% accuracy and expect to do better. Additionally... if there are multiple problem spots in any recording submitted I will check back with my client for clarification to increase accuracy in the resulting transcription.

Tips For Fastest Service

  1. Good quality audio recording without distortion, echo, or extra noises will get you the fastest and most accurate service possible.

  2. One person speaking at a time at a clearly audible volume is much easier to understand than two or more simultaneous voices.

  3. Please provide a reference URL for any topic-specific terminology or jargon that is not in common use or has other meanings outside of your topic.
